Well his dad's attitude towards him is "If you want to waste your life, go ahead, that's on you."
His mum is always getting on his case for getting into fights and having bad grades.
His brother is brilliant and successful, and apparently not all that interested in helping him (maybe Hero thinks Mars is a lost cause?).
He has the best relationship with his sister, but she's very much still a child.
