I hate the elf.
It goes into how the editor (or author) manga sucks at worldbuilding.
- Imagine your
friend benefactor/mentor being a victim of attempted murder, because of racial discrimination.
Then without asking them, interjecting on their behalf, saying an apology isn't necessary.
- Imagine if it was any other adventurer (whom the guard didn't like).
Or your friend wasn't superpowered hero of somekind.
And the guard acted as a proxy of power for nobility to get the adventurer maimed/killed.
By the noble's own pet, in the noble's own mansion.
- Not only would I demand an immediate apology, and spurn the mission.
I'd report it to the guild (attempted murder via commissioned E-rank job).
And report it to any other adventurers in their territory. (And other nobles, if I was spiteful.)
- This would (properly) make it impossible for that noble to hire (novice) adventurers ever again, as trust is broken.
("That noble['s staff] hires people to maim / kill them if they don't like them. They tried to kill an A-rank unknowingly.")
Peace-drunk mindsets don't belong in a ficticious isekai.
Especially tone, where it's one lethal force in self-defense, has already been used on-screen.
This isn't some happy-go-lucky magical girl friendship romp manga.
