Ofc it's going to be short when you bring a gun to a sword fight :haa:

I actually love how quick and "anti-climatic" this fight was, it feels very fitting for these characters.

Short, Clean and simple.

Happy Simo won. Guess he and his Valkyrie partner Radgridr get to live together enjoying more picnics and tea parties.

It might not be the shortest, but it was the biggest damage gap in this whole manga.
99% of the damage Simo took was caused by his own power. Loki literally barely scraped him.
I mean...yeah. Simo is a sniper.
The second Loki gets in range, the battle is over.

This is different from all the other fights in the sense that it isn't a brawl. It was a high-risk high-reward gambit featuring whether Loki would reach Simo and win, or die trying. What was really stupid is why Loki chose this arena.

DAMN SIMO LETS FUCKIN GOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

tho Loki didn't feel very fleshed out (and how badly I wished for Anubis to be his opponent instead, cuz the author could've used it to touch on Simo's post war life) I think it was a solid fight overall. Not my favorite like I was hoping it would be, but still had interesting ideas going on throughout.

I knew it was over when he started explaining instead of doing. If he had accomplished it the readers would be taken aback by "it actually worked?"

It's also a bullshit ending.
That "feels to take a life" explanation doesn't work because they're copies. And remember, the Loki copy could give off a soul painting, meaning it would feel like taking a life, a sign it would trick Simo. He didn't take his life so he couldn't have been able to tell. Inevitable annoying ending for Loki.

Not gonna lie, that was underwhelming. The pain of taking a life moment was cool but Loki's part of it was far from being big brained enough to be satisfying.

Especially since he ended up teleporting behind Simo again anyway so really the entire plan could have been replace by that in the first place.

Also did they really have a Baki Interview moment?

This fight felt too fast and anticlimactic. I mean, Loki is a character we've seen since the early chapters. I thought he was going to be important to the story later on, but he just died that quickly, huh?

Not satisfied with how Simo Haya is simply portrayed as a one-note depressed dude, and what would presumably be a battle of wits have the winning side posses one-hit-kill instant counters to anything the opponent could throw at them, and the ability to see through any tricks because of gut feeling.

The writing is stupid, but in a nostalgic kinda way? Reminds me of those Bonelli comics I inherited from my parents, or something.
