You may like the web novel: https://yukikitsuneko.blogspot.com/p/my-childhood-friend-is-sweet-to-me.html

It's similar, but the wrongdoers are actually self-aware.
Great story, though inevitably the NTR aspect becomes irrelevant and it becomes basically a sweet high school romance. Bit of a whiny and oblivious MC, but honestly that's standard. Would certainly recommend, and it's still ongoing with regular updates.

And for anyone interested, you'll find both the LN and WN of this manga on this blog too, and those are absolutely recommended.

Its a situation that spiraled out of her control due to the machinations of someone that was quite good at manipulating both men and women. Not to mention that was even due to an even deeper conspiracy that set that ass to target her in the first place.

The only reason the ass got involved with the ex is cause her friend told the ex that the ass would be great at romantic advice, but the friend was in fact sent by the literary club president who knew the ass would wreck the relationship, all because she was jealous of Eiji's writing talent. In fact she had done it before to ruin other relationships, one of which will give raise to the GOAT.

Just because someone is a perpetrator does not mean they are also not a victim. What she did was wrong and severe and she should be punished for, will be punished for, but when you punish someone endlessly for something you are not doing it to teach them of their wrongs, its for your own self satisfaction.

People aren't perfect and are swayed by emotion, desires, and peer pressure. A moment of weakness can and will lead to a lifetime of regret, and that will be heavy enough without people constantly screaming at you on how you fucked up.

I know I've fucked up in my life many times before and that shit haunts me even today. I desperately wish that someone had been more understanding, more empathetic, more willing to say, "Bro you fucked up, but I got your back."

So when I see a character that has their life unravelling before them due to something stupid and severe they did but also another victim in it, I don't celebrate it.

Edit: I debated on adding this because I don't wish to try and make it sound as if Eiji was wrong, as he did literally nothing wrong, but if we want to be really real, if Eiji has went straight to his mother or teacher about the situation, or sought some help, counseling, they could have gotten the ball rolling on this a lot sooner before we got suicidal, but Eiji is also an emotional teenager who is swayed by emotion, desires, and peer pressure.
Not that I disagree with anything you said, but I will say a lot of Miyuki's upcoming spoilers is self-inflicted. Naturally she's going to get scorn and disappointments from people around her because she still did what she did. She was seduced and carried by the flow of things as a teenage girl, no doubt, but she still made the choices she made. However, most of her upcoming stuff is mostly her own internal demons, whereas she just waste away. For redemption to happen, the character has to want it and pursue it, she doesn't... yet. As sad as it is, it's honestly a hell of her own making, and narrativrly a great contrast of Ai and Eiji.

One of the things I appreciated about the later plot is that the teachers weren't completely stupid.

You are correct. I did drop off the web novel after the aforementioned scene, so I don't not know where it goes from there, but it is true what you say leading up to that point.

Ai is preventing Miyuki to khs so that she will see them (Ai and Eiji) happy, while she became miserable each day
no because she know it will effect the MC if she is going to be miserable about seeing them everyday that is on her she should not be allowed to take the easy way out of her own fuck ups tho

It's hilarious how much this story is solely written as an answer to all the other NTR stories. The author just wanted one where the adults are extremely competent.
yes most of this is unironically if schools actually did they fucking jobs and took bullying seriously which is and always has been a problem in Japan where many schools drop the ball and rather protect they imagine

I like how you try to humanize her yet then go into victim blaming in a edit amazing

It's interesting seeing some people whining about how "unrealistic" this is when... this is actually maybe too real. Like knowing how fucked up people actually can be there is nothing unrealistic about any part of this situation. Perhaps the least realistic part is the fact that the MC and the FL connected when they did, but if they didn't then we would have this story now would we?

A. Using "what-ifs" is pointless. If he had committed suicide this would be a completely different story, but he didn't. This is also because he decided to not talk to anyone, despite having a very nurturing and supportive family and friend group. It doesn't serve the story if he commits suicide and it doesn't serve the story if he done what he should have did and talk to someone. You say what if he jumped, I say what if he actually talked to people.

B. She did not malicious spread rumors, she did not scrawl on the desk, she did not herself post on social media about it. These were done by people with actual malicious intent, trying to further fan the flames of this.

She was given a drug named Kondo and she got hooked on it, now is desperate not to lose said drug, only realizing too late what she did. So she continued the lie while she was still in semi shock Do you tell drug addicts "just don't do drugs anymore, easy?" And before you say its not like drug addiction is completely is. She was pressured into it by a friend, got a taste, told herself she could stop anytime, and kept getting deeper until it was too late and ruined Eiji's life and hers.

C. In general, I'm not talking about her right now. Fuck her right now, she does not know what she has done literally. Readers know what Eiji is going through, she does not. I'm talking about her in the future
when Eiji is happy and everything is going his way, Kondo is literally in jail and she tries to kill herself out of how badly she fucked up and how much grief she is in, but is stopped and berated more for trying to hurt Eiji again.

A punishment must fit the crime,
and if you push someone to suicide,
is it right cause they were accessory to it happening someone else? Eye for an eye just leave everyone half blind. You are dogpiling on her cause thats what the story wants you to do, so frankly you are literally in the same mob justice mindset that put Eiji on that rooftop in the first place.

Edit: Whoops forgot to put spoiler tags in there.
I definitely do agree with what you have said overall, and while I'm still going through everything, I just picked this one since it was there to reply to so this reply really isn't to this post specifically, just the overall sentiment you have.

The main semi-counter argument I would like to provide is that the timeline in the WN is, well, fucked. There is a lot happening in this story and it's a slap in the face every time we cut to Ai saying something along the lines of "I can't believe it's only been X days", and that slap really knocked me out of the story every time it was brought up since how the hell did all that happen in that short of time? It's been a minute since I've read it so this is gonna be a bit hyperbolic, but basically everything that happens is in the timespan of a month. The longest time gap we really have is during the DIET meeting with Ai's father where he said it would take a few months to conclude and even with that we still don't quite know if it actually took that length of time.

To bring it into why it's a semi-counter, in order for redemption to happen time needs to happen first. With how quick everything happens we are tricked into thinking that time has passed when in the story it really has only been a few days, a week, maybe a month before my spoiler happens. The betrayal by Amada is still extremely fresh in everyone's mind, which is why the abuse towards her hasn't let up. If the timeline happens more realistically where all these events in the story were more spread out, I'd 100% be on board that people need to let up on Amada and leave her be so she can grow. That's not what happens though since the timeline is unrealistic and it all happens so quickly.

Again, I'm really not disagreeing with the point you are presenting. I do wish for more nuance in manga characters in general since people are very complicated and it would be nice to see that complication explored in this medium. I would love to see revenge-porn stories where the antagonists grow into proper people despite what happened. The main point I'm trying to get to though is to hopefully provide another perspective as to why Amada is getting bombarded as much as she is, and it really just boils down to the author not properly planning imo. Hopefully I got that across well enough.

Firstly I wholly dissagree with "eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind". This soft handed approach is what turns once nice places into absolute shitholes. Its literally whats happening in new york and california. Consider that some people will literally never understand why their crime is bad without it happening to them.

Comparing some assholes cock to a drug? Lol, lmao even. Besides his coccaine cock didnt force her to start cheating in the first place. It didnt force her to be complicit in everything and backing up his lies about her once beloved childhood friend.
They say the deepest darkest pit of hell is where traitors and betrayers belong.

Dont forget she literally could've stopped it quite easily and shit wouldn't have been so bad.

Lastly Ive dealt with drug addicts. Should she be interned at a mental ward until she stopped craving douch dick and went back to craving Eiji's dick? Lmao. Dont be so ridiculous with that analogy, she still has agency and drug addicts still face severe punishment when they commit crimes to get their drugs.

No excuse for Hedonistic acts and no tolerance for anti social behaviour. She deserves to be exiled and kondo deserves to hang.

Nah, i'm good with that. All cheaters should kill themselves. What a beautiful world it would be?
Yeah what Lucky doesn't SAY in his spoilers is that each encounter is separate from each other, I can't believe they even felt SYMPATHY for Miyuki after what she did, all those encounters came about once her actions caught up to her
By what they were saying, she gets lectured and yell at by everyone, in what world I have to ask LUCKY did Mrs. Aono "had no right appranetly" to have NO GOOD WILL towards a girl who she saw as a Second Daughter since she was little, but didn't hesitate to betray her son, AND WORSE help her cheating partner ruin his reputation that lead to him being bullied, hurt his reputation, and she had the BALLS to still come around her like they were still family. Lucky is insane if they think everyone should have given Miyuki a break cause EVEN AFTER the scum that is Kondo "finally dumps her and calls her out for the idiotic cheating slut that she is" like he did to his "last victim" she STILL doesn't come forward on her own! The truth gets revealed when the annouchments call out the bullying, there will be consequences and even HER NAME along with those in the soccer club get called in, meaning her female friend and the class to their horror realize Miyuki LIED and when her friend asked her "Miyuki it's not true right" Miyuki only meekly says "I'm sorry" confirming she LIED to everyone and DID cheat on Aono, there was no "rescuing her from a creepy childhood friend" instead "Kondo and Miyuki were cheating, Aono found out, and they both "conspired" him with his club to have Miyuki lie and the club participate in leading a bullying campaign on Aono so even if he said anything, he wouldn't be believed, Miyuki BARELY protested and I'm sure LUCKY thinks someone should have told her what she did wrong and been gentle, and ignoring that Miyuki crossed the Moral Event Horizon and still refused to acknowledge it because as said, the fact she STILL believed she had the right to be around hte Aono family like thier still family after what she did, she's not a child, she's a Teenager of an age she should no better, she knows what she did and at any point could have informed the adults and told the truth, she didn't because she feared her reptuation and KNEW she would be hated, EXACTLY what happens after the even I mentioned happens, her friends and supporters cut contact and even some start to harass her through messaging, that is what lead to the "Suicide attempt" EXACTLY where Aono and Ai almost did it on the roof though Ai interfered, having her WATCHED because she KNEW she would do something stupid once the jig was up for her, and RIGHTFULLY scolds her for NOT taking responsibility and KNOWING deep down her MOTHER and Aono would both be hurt CRITICALLY if she killed herself like a coward, essentially "only thinking POOR ME" again as usual, it's a kick to the pants that MAKES Miyuki FINALLY tell the adults THE TRUTH of what happen and doesn't fight what comes next, the writer DOES make a chapter that is a FAST FORWARD where she does encounter Aono and Ai years later, they don't see her but she sees them and it's essentially the classic "after the downfall" where things didn't improve much for her and she got to see them living their best life and in Aono case "a life without her" and trying NOT to falter and fall into "IT SHOULD BE ME" as she knows SHE squandered all of that! Knowing Mrs. Aono has filed a lawsuit on her because of the false assault on her that lead to her son being bullied and harassed and in the Novel Kondo BEAT AONO UP during that confrontion when he caught her with him that we saw in chapter 1 that lead to this mess later! Guessing she's STILL working off or in the process of working off the Compensation Money, doesn't look like she lives with her mother, Sure the Woman and her or on SHITTY terms after what she did! Feel bad for her, especially when she reveals she WAS in Miyuki position, she FELL for a "Kondo" and lost everything and then he abandoned her, She cant believe her "sweet Miyuki" threw it all away for a "CARBON COPY OF HER FATHER" as again, she never CHEATED on no one, nor LIE and ruin anyone's reputation for such trash, so Miyuki is worse, even FORGETTING The Aono's were their BENEFACTORS! The Mother and Son have been in their lives and helping them since they came to town, they've always been tight and HE in general has ALWAYS looked out for her....and she returned ALL that favor They as in LUCKY also failed to point out that we DID get a flashback from Miyuki's POV AFTER they left Aono there, namely Kondo and her were in a panic and that's when he manipulated her dumb ass to lie to protect their reputation, Miyuki acting like Aono will survive the lie and a GOOD indicator that she secretly envy him. That his rep will survive after HS and this lie WOULDN'T follow him after HS while ignoring that they did it to PROTECT their own reputation, Kondo even "made her feel bad" that his "soccer future" was at RISK because of "HER" she DOES look back and acknowledge WHY she thought that even MATTERED, what they BOTH did was HORRID, yet for some reason, she let herself be convinced. Even her "inner WOMAN" rightfully calls her out on her "Woe is Me" behavior

How anyone would sympathize with her, I just can't fathom. OVER PUNISHMENT, what telling her she's a POS is OVERLY PUNISHING, sounds like LUCKY is the type to feel SORRY for any girl who did what Miyuki did the second they "start tearing up" and forgetting what she did and she was HAPPY to say NOTHING because if she "felt bad" then why not say ANYTHING at all!

Oh and here's a Bonus Spoiler
Remember that Aono was part of a Literature club that kicked him in the message that CEMENTED him almost committing suicide. Yeah the Manager who send the Message, his Senpai, SHE IS THE MASTERMIND, if you ever saw the Movie "Amadeus" then she is "fucking Salieri to Aono's MORE INNOCENT Mozart !" This is all over him being more TALENTED then she was as a writer! Just like the character I compared her to, she sought his RUIN, first by trying to SEDUCE HIM as to lead him to ruin, buy as you saw, Aono is a good boy, and would NEVER cheat on Miyuki.....guess what she did NEXT as a backup, Kondo is a POS, but it was HER who got him to target Miyuki, he did it cause it was "fun" to him as this chapter displayed, but yeah a part that seems to be different is that someone from the Club was the one to introduce her to Kondo, THAT is what eventually lead to HER getting found out because after the teacher talked with her on "why she did it" and left the room, she made a mentioned that she "never should have listened to that Girl from the Literature club" Hell the Girl is FUCKING obsessed over Aono, not in the LOVE but in her envy, jealous and especially "his surivival of her plan" I don't think the "suicide" was an outcome she wanted or desired, she just wanted him BROKEN and lose his drive so SHE could shine, and ESPECIALLY when Ai inspires him to get BACK into writing, which makes what she did including RUINING the futures of herself and the Club Members that sided with her as many of them Aono USE to like sans two were complacent in KNOWING what was going on, but still HELPED and evn ACTED like he was a criminal when they KNEW he was innocent, worse that they FEAR retribution from him once the Soccer Club and Kondo get NUKED by the School from Orbit as the Club gets DISBANDED, Kondo gets ARRESTED because he like an IDIOT panicked when the Cops came to QUESTION him and not only RAN when he had no reason to run, he ATTACKED the officers in fear of arrest....assuring his ARREST and MORE! Don't feel sorry for the Club, they WERE aware of his actions, he even used them as TOADIES from time to time, even if they HATED it, some even got CONVINCED to "teach Aono a lesson" after the lie was made, hence shit like what happened to his desk, and the Captain of the Club turned a BLIND EYE to Kondo's behavior! So none of them are worth feeling bad for that they got NUKED then Suspended, ruining their futures, they STILL learn nothing, some BLAMING others and ESPECIALLY Kondo which their right, but also WRONG for doing ignoring it was THEM who did nothing about him and even HELPED the scumbag, knowing his nature! So there just REFUSING to accept responsibility for their part in ENABLING and AIDING!
Also to add
It wasn't just the staff, even if they started looking in, it was actually a Male friend of Aono who had a PAST with Kondo as I think HE was the "Otaku" in that flashback who revealed the bullying, with PICTURES including the one SHOWING Miyuki and Kondo going into a Love Hotel together, THAT ONE is what cements there was no "Kondo coming to her rescue" which the lie was about, Miyuki was cheating, likely got caught, then she and Kondo conspired WITH the Soccer Club to ruin Aono's reputation to protect the two! It's pathetic that Miyuki stood aside and said NOTHING while this guy is the MVP that brought it all down, thing is he DOES get targeted by the Manager and was planning to go down ALONE till Aono and Company save him as another member of the club was being bullied as well cause unlike the rest of them, she did NOT turn on Aono and in fear, the Manager tried to silence her! Funny enough despite using PROXIES, they STILL figured it out, especially with Miyuki comment about how she was "introduced" to Kondo so it all ended up leading to her GOING insane "Just like Salieri" more OBSESSED With Aono STILL pushing forward and succeeding then her IMPENDING DOOM

you can certainly think that, but if he hadn't been there, then the girls wouldn't have done what they did.
He also was the one behind the Lie, Miyuki may have said it (under his guidance), but he was the one to manufacture and mastermind the lie, he just needed HER to be the "victim" for it to happen. So No, he IS as responsible as she is. And yes you are right, in the end of the day. It might have been SOMEONE ELSE. But the girls ONLY did what they did BECAUSE he lead them that way, so he IS just as responsible, but in some way is right that "it's not his fault their so STUPID to have NEVER seen him for the VIPER he is, too busy thinking with the hole between their leg to EVER fathom he was "stringing them along" All he had to say was "a few nice things" and INSTANTLY all the people, all the things they once cared about, Suddenly they didn't care about ANY of them! He brought out their WORSE NATURES, but he never could have if they didn't let him. Which is why you can't feel sorry for the Class Idol OR Miyuki, he's still HORRID, but they were WEAK girls who REALLY got to HIGH on themselves to EVER think he wasn't suspect! The other girl EVEN ruined relationships and Friendships BEYOND her Otaku EX Childhood friend seeing him as "the end goal" only to learn it was all for nothing and he had to "POINT IT OUT WITH A NEON SIGN THAT HE FEELS LIKE THE SONG WRITER OF THAT SONG" that he was "ONLY PLAYING AROUND WITH HER!" It's only HORRIBLE to her because a part of her HAD to suspect, but chose to ignore it along with everyone else because she was SO SURE it wasn't true....so the second he revealed "it was indeed true" that voice suddenly became LOUDER then her SMUG SELF convincing herself she was "something special" when she wasn't at All!

He also was the one to PUSH some of the Members of his club to bully and harass Aono, so they just like him are accountable for their actions. But she KNEW and had a chance to go forward to the Teacher who she was a teacher's favorite too! The man is disappointed once her role in all of this comes to light obviously because Kondo saw what everyone else once thought, no way "Innocent Miyuki" would do ANY of what we just witness with her. Only "yes indeed she was capable" Kondo isn't smart, but he isn't wrong that someone like Miyuki is DANGEROUS because everyone sees her as INNOCENT if you remember ALOT of false accusations came from those people thought were "innocent and incapable" and their reasoning usually are the HORRIFYING "I don't know" (horrifying cause it means they ruined someones life, someone THEY likely personally know or worse DON'T KNOW for "a fucking WHIM!") or 'because they COULD!"
