I'm ngl with everything that's happened in this story, the ending felt like a big cop out. It lacks a lot of substance and makes it unsatisfying. It's not really a "wholesome" ending. Since she didn't really move on, and is instead substituting the person she loves with this new shallow character. I would've like it if instead it developed into an ending where she made new friends, or at the very least not an ending related to love in the romantic sense (immediately after all thats happened mind you). Cause the "new love" ending is so shallow in this instance it felt like the new guy was a self insert to "fix everything" with the magic of their love. Ultimate undermining whatever developments happened because "this new guy will magically make her happy and fix everything in her life because the very first guy who confessed to her just so happened to the best guy in the world".
Then again throughout the story the author has been backpedalling every time something develops, so this complete 180 of an ending wasn't unexpected. And the extra chapters going back to the past is really just there to milk whatever is left in this series.
If anyone disagrees then I'd love for someone to clarify what they think about the ending.
