Maybe he gave up his feelings for Ootani after he started going out with Komori.

Still, I do hope Megumi will have her love story (or her happy ending). She's a pretty interesting character when she's not just in comic relief mode.

I feel like this manga has progressed so much since the early chapters - it feels so much less like a gag manga ever since the cast moved up to high school. Makes for a more engaging read, to me, especially with the developments in this volume.
