If we were in a slightly different genre of manga, they might have formed a harem cult of Hatono together, collectively organizing her advancement and neutralizing any "enemy gods". But here, Rin clearly feels that if Tsuru continues, she might lose her necessity for Hatochi (in her perception).

Like I had said, I liked this turnaround.
All that happened here will have big consequences to the future. Now we have Hato x Takami AND Rin X Tsuru. This last pair is more important, the club shouldn't be manipulated only to prop Hato at the expense of the other members. Rin could become, and is already is a bit, a toxic influence on Hato's life.
