The last thing that's showing up for me is chapter 17 12 months ago.

Checking that name, apparently I blocked them about a year back for machine translation sniping of active projects. So that'd explain some things.

I saw this on the Home page under Latest Updates and felt it was familiar but wasn't sure. Once I loaded the page for the manga, I remembered exactly what it was and how it seemed to rely overly much on women with breasts that look like they weigh ~1/3 of their total body weight. How this has an 8.25 rating is still beyond me...

All new manga start at 8.0 Soooo if you see it dropping it very well not be worth it. So 8.25 means a little more than half rate it 8 or better. I think 8.25 is appropriate score. Look at my ICON and tell me I am wrong.

It has 8.25 because it has never lied about what it is. It's a pseudo porn written by a horny teenager and drawn by a kid with a crayon box ( seriously, just look at anything that isn't a body ) but it has never let down those that come to read it, because it has never tried to go beyond it's original premise.

I learned a lot more about the silly world of this story as a translator compared to when I was just a reader. So I'm trying to keep all the nuance intact for everyone else as well. Lestina's backstory is simply very plot convenient to say the least as I'm sure you'll see later lol

You blocked for something they didn’t do? Kinda weird ngl

Also their MTL doesn’t have any particular issues that are glaring as theirs is edited MTL where they put in the work to make sure the TL is right. This is far different from real MTLs that are more poetry then English

All in all I’m not sure why someone is picking this series up when it has a somewhat active TLer. There’s plenty of series that never get a TL even after years have passed that would be better choices then this one

I don't really know how to answer without coming off as rather rude, so please don't take it that way, but I'd like you to read the original chapter 1s.

I personally have nothing against machine translations since I've found so many manga that I ended up really liking because of them, including this one.

If I had to say why I personally did this? The reason is because I thought it'd be nice if someone redid them so I just did it myself. I don't plan on going far, not past volume 1.

This isn't a snipe attempt or anything. More of an attempt at providing an alternate option to the original translation.

I would actually be grateful if you could point me to those kinds of series because I don't have any of those abandoned works in my personal list. Who knows? I might get to work on them once I finish with these
