On the bright side, you can think of it as the manga being nowhere near the end.Im actually gonna die of natural causes before nana shows up
this class does also still have teachers who know Akira's circumstances and she's always had to sleep alone from the group for any trips they've been on.Wait, Rumi and Aoi had accepted Akira being a girl despite being formally a boy, yet they can't bathe together. Unless it was Akira's choice, it would be weird to not include them.
I think the scene this chapter was to establish to establish that there are kids from other Sapporo schools on vacation as well. So if Akira runs into someone from their old school on the trip, it doesn't look like it just came out of nowhere. Foreshadowing! I hope.Im actually gonna die of natural causes before nana shows up
It's either that or foreshadowing that they'll meet in high school.I think the scene this chapter was to establish to establish that there are kids from other Sapporo schools on vacation as well. So like, yes, maybe Nana won't understand Akira's circumstances. But the more we spend in Akira's head, the more I lean towards Nana probably not being a scary of a final boss as Akira imagines meeting her will be.

Realistic: Nana doesnt even careyeah I really have to wonder what Nana will even be like. because like, it's been a decade for her too. Maybe by the time they meet it'll have been more. How big of a deal is all of this to her anymore.
Because like let's be honest right. Everything that happened back then was so impactful for Akira because she got the genderswap disease and was then group assaulted on her first day back to school. And yes the bullying Kid Akira did was serious enough that the teachers really should have stepped in and cleared it up rather than just hiding behind the "boys will be boys" that got Akira (even if the boys didn't realise they were doing it) assaulted. Especially considering Akira really wasn't an outlier in this class, as the teachers happily let all the boys run wild.
Akira definitely did a bunch of really awful things to her, but to a certain extent her guilt over it is so embedded into her psyche because the other boys did just about the worst shit they could have done immediately after becoming a girl. To the point that she still pretty much panics anytime the slightest chance of Nana appears.

I dont think that scene was meant to be an actual memory and more like akira imagining it guilt tripping herselfAkira has been shown to misremember things as being worse than they were. In chapter 1, it seems like Nana is basically asking for an apology from him. but he remembers the scene now as her telling him that he will never be forgiven.
Pretty sure its Akira's choice about that, to me the her bathing alone was more like she was sad she still cant handle it.Wait, Rumi and Aoi had accepted Akira being a girl despite being formally a boy, yet they can't bathe together. I think the school still has them bath and change clothes alone. when Akira changed clothes with the badminton club, the advisor offered them a place to change if they wanted to join the team. I'd imagine school rules apply for the communal hotel bath. However the chapter where Akira's hot bath water broke did show theyre uncomfortable with the idea of communal baths as they don't feel okay seeing other naked girls and being seen naked by others.Pretty sure its Akira's choice about that, to me the her bathing alone was more like she was sad she still cant handle it.
