Hopefully that law isn't misused... SA cases can be iffy and are generally very hard to prove unless video evidence // multiple eye witnesses which can cause it go bad for an innocent man too.

Many such cases on both sides, sadly.

One of the more believable blackmail situations. Most are a stupid "do you want me to show the school the picture of your BF smoking" type.

The guy was right: being a guarantor (co-signer) on a loan (especially if that's the only way they can get a lone) is one of the most stupid things you can do. You're giving someone else the keys to your financial future.
