For Iris’s situation, She seems to look up to herself as a royal family member much more now thanks to having an escort knight having very impressive feats that even her brother and a senior mage knows. She might have an increased political influence soon (although rn she’s using it as an excuse for independent freedom)

But isn’t it possible that another sibling more authoritative than Cain became king and Iris might’ve decide to fled elsewhere thanks to that? Maybe the immortal village will come by much faster.
