Aval has the most interesting introduction to me so far, and his half-bloodedness gives the Demon race in this manga some much needed depth. So there are demons who aren't part of the 'hivemind', huh.

I think the reason why both Aval and Marcus retain their memories is I believe due to their job classification. I think as a stargazer and hermit, they're both more attuned to fates and the otherwordly aspects. Especially Aval who actively uses it so it's no wonder he especially can retain all of his memories.

Also a demon loving a human and going against their instincts? Hmmm.... That's another very curious case indeed
