I don't know how to describe it but this manga is really sincere(?) for a lack of better words. The typical romcom stuffs are played out straight but not in a corny manner. It also helps that Waku and Akari have great dynamic together and plenty of traits that remind the readers they are their own characters, not just a stand-in for a male/female lead.

I read the authors previous work House of the Sun recently, and it's so fun seeing how they have improved on the things I already saw them getting good at during that story. And characters feeling like real people is a big strength in my eyes.
