True, I was also thinking about it and found out it can be right if she is from the most northern top of Finland because that is part of the Scandinavian Peninsula. For the description and name of the series: The name "Luthi" doesn't sound Finnish at all, it'd be Luhti if anything, and regardless her name is most likely Ryti. The series title also uses 北欧/hokuou, which refers to the Nordic countries, not Scandinavia, and Finland isn't a part of Scandinavia anyway. So "Nordic" would be better.
Yes, and?Is it just me or isn't this just ethnic fetishism?
Reminds me of the manga about the italian girl that:Yes, and?
Edit: Well, only kinda sorta really, she hasn't actually been portrayed like a Finn. I mean for chrissakes, she's voluntarily TALKING to people!
Yeah, and there are even well known webcomics to reference on how to be a Finn.Reminds me of the manga about the italian girl that:
- Had silver hair
- Did not use excessive gestures
- Ate sphaghetti with ketchup
- And other things that showed the mangaka had not done any research on italy
ah you see, there's actually a lore reason behind that: it's precisely BECAUSE she did these things that she was deemed to not be a true italian, and was exiled to japan as a result - if she HAD acted like a true italian, she would've never been kicked out of italy, and the manga wouldn't have happened.Reminds me of the manga about the italian girl that:

Monster's author made a fool out of himself portraying Europeans and most everything. I know it's supposed to be a master piece and I couldn't help but cringe every time a European character had some Japanese trait. Maybe it was because I was younger and couldn't distract myself from those things but completely ruined it for me.Reminds me of the manga about the italian girl that:
