It only took 60% of the planned story to show a hint of Hikaru actually being fem but moving forward in a way that shows boy or girl it's who you are that makes you strong. It's lamentable because this was presented more like a power up rather than a progression of emotional state or framing.

Again, the components are there just not framed to their strengths.

All in all I would recommend this manga as a study tool. It's a good test case of what can still get published despite poor writing. And that even poor writers can write something good at times that the audience will enjoy.
