It's just weird to see this manga devolve into yuribait...

It's far gone from its original plot.
Ah yes yes yes, the usual complaints, as if the series hasn’t been heading in this direction for over 100 chapters already, there’s not even any Yuri-bait in this chapter.

People just want Kuroki to stay a cringe edgelord instead of someone genuinely enjoying her life like she is now.

I think this series would be more interesting if Kuroki is still a cringe edgelord as she grows into her adulthood. I think it would be interesting if the author explores her lolcowdom as she gets constantly documented by the terminally online in 2ch or the Fruit Farms a la Chris Chan.

If she was gonna be a lolcow, she'd be talked about in the Fruit Farms' female board or in the femcel imageboards lolcow.farm/crystal.cafe

Yuri discussion aside (There was absolutely none in this chapter so idk why it was even brought up), keeping Kuroki as a cringe edgelord through all her school and life would've been just depressing as we repeat the same embarrassing jokes, everyone needs to grow up in some way and know some people along the way.

Off topic but something I noticed very late, although this school has a lot of crazy girls, crossdressing, nerds and delinquent girls... There wasn't any big delinquent guy huh, like the usual school bully who's 1 or 2 years older than the rest or barely attends school and just causes trouble.

Hello? Police? Yes, that man right there.
Though I'm surprised no one from 4chan has done a popular fanfic or parody for that, like with snoot game.

One of the reason I put this manga on long hiatus is because early chapter was sometimes too brutal to read with second hand embarrassment. I was so glad she found friends in that school trip arc.

This is one of the consequence of Tomoko turning more and more normie, I think. Other characters had to step up and cause more shenanigan since she calmed down a lot after getting friends. I do think the author goes overboard with it sometimes and some characters got Flanderized into a caricature of themselves. (Early Yuri is so much different than she is now, for example.)

I don't know if that's intentional but I don't see it as a "consequence" per se.
Tomoko is still a weirdo dumbass but she thinks everyone else has it together when really everyone is a weirdo. I think displaying that more with other people going through the same stupid mistakes she was making (or their own unique mistakes) and that she'd only see from hanging out with people is thematically important to her character growth.
I see it as a feature, I guess.

Why do some people want her to keep being cringy? She's growing up and thankfully becoming more mature as one should as they get older. Also helps that she actually made friends which can help a person see different perspectives of life and help them grow as a person. Thanks for the chapter!!!
