Definitely not that one, it was more in the vein of being older than he currently looks leading to muscle pain or bone problems or something. It's possible I'm getting something from another manga or anime with a partially similar premise mixed up with Onimai, though the only thing that comes to mind is ReLIFE from like a decade ago.
