They're supposed to be powerful folks, but they repeatedly get caught unaware, loses because the enemy outplayed them (somehow) and then whoops, here's a new arc guys. Like yeah, i get there would be other powers at play, but there's just seem to be obstacle after obstacle (and again with a "good" character getting stolen/brainwashed/converted by the enemy).
The story just feels a little cyclic now.

There is a female exorcist(don’t remember her name but she was close to Ouhi) on her way to Ouhi’s location now so it’s likely her body will get collected and taken back to the temple

He’s crazy as he wants to play god and most likely make a Japan ruled by humans but I wonder why he wants to do this maybe something happened to him when he was a kid or something that led to this goal

I thought they wanted to control the spirit realm, not destroy it entirely... makes sense, sounds like a real government plan after all: Making war on a concept.

Making war on a concept would make more sense if he was a politician, but he's a bureaucrat, right? I think it has more to do with how aberrations are unable to be controlled. In chapter 162 he talks about how before Kanaka is defeated, the government will have to evacuate a city to prevent citizens from being caught up in a "calamity" as well as come up with an excuse for the evacuation. They know the barrier breaks in roughly three years, but only the crystal ball girl can predict the exact time when the barrier break occurs and her accuracy is based on how close in time it is to predicted event.

And that's just the biggest "nuisance" that readers know about. No doubt there are many other smaller occurrences that add up over time cause more work for them. Just look at all the craziness at Kazuya's school. It's easy to imagine that if it some of those events became public knowledge, then it would cause a lot of trouble for them. People who suffer need something to blame and the government is often the easiest target for that when the one truly at fault can not be punished, like a demon, a force majeure, or in some cases a child.

We've seen what she can do with her hair so you'd think even if she couldn't see or sense the spiritual energy of those guys she would have spread her hair spread out being used as "feelers". Especially since she talks about being cautious on the first page. So yeah, we knew it was coming, but to quote a certain creature of shadow and flame:

It is dangerous, but I think Kazuya stands a better chance since he can also use spirit energy martial arts to defend himself. His training in Yomi makes him probably one of the few who could counter this tactic.
