Lol. Yes mate, that was a meta-textual complaint, I was not suggesting the King is somehow aware the MC is the MC of the manga or he is aware that the world is a manga and thus the main character probably won't die.

Obviously I could make plenty of in-world complaints like how the branch families and MC's parents cousins and uncles and families would be the ones normally expected to be elevated to a higher position in case of a lack of an heir and they just miiiight not believe the legitimacy of mister cat boy's title unless they can somehow be convinced Carol's dad pulled a Shane Dawson with his housecat or something.

I mostly don't care about that, because of meta reasons I suspect the protagonist of the manga I'm reading won't die halfway through the story (or if he does die he won't stay dead).
