if you like the beginning but then you think it falls off, just drop it. it keeps on being that way until the end.

I really liked it but is it really concluded? The way they left off was terrible. I don’t want to spoil it but if that was the ending to the series then what was the author thinking? It was like they stopped writing halfway through. It didn’t even feel kind of like an ending

so many weird comments here disliking the ending (which you need to read on other sites) but i think it was perfect. do people need it to end with a wedding and a forever after to make it count? how many real life highschool romances do you think end like that? get real... go read cinderella if you wanted fairytales.
mid? and so are you, lol. it was exactly what it said on the tin, in the best way. it started out with a clear misunderstanding about fmc, fooled around with it and had some interesting gags and side character action while at it, then resolved it. wtf else did you expect?

People expected at least some sort of confession, which I get. It's mid as an ending, because the note of the ending is just "Apparently the feelings dont mean much other than it being a joke on the whole romance genre". And people came for a twisted but at least somewhat interesting romance, at least I assume that.

Personally, I just don't like the ending cause it felt unsatisfactory, it could at least have had some sorta confession, and then live just goes on for them, like Horimiya or any other good Romance Manga out there. It could have perfectly ended with an "I like you", either he rejects the feelings, he doesnt or whatever, at least dont fake out the readers or smh. Maybe I'm reading into it too much, idk and idc. It was a alright read, but the ending, in my opinion, just could have been different, not even a acceptance of the confession, but oh well.

But there was an "I like you" or close enough to it from the very start of the manga, and now MC knows it was real and not a part of a weird game. And him interrupting her from saying it yet again during the fireworks is a pretty clear answer - he wants to keep things as they are, which is actual friends that get along and would stick together in the following school year too and with time may naturally grow into anything instead of prematurely forcing it into a "lovers" or "forever after" label that's completely unnatural for school kids but is somehow made to look like the norm or everyone's ultimate end goal by the romance genre.
