I am glad that the author took the time to really hammer in the fact that killing another human being isn't something to be taken lightly. It really humanizes Haruka that despite being physically robust she is mentally frail.

Thank you for your hard work, translator.

Glad something this serious is treated in such a way. I was like "oh damn" when bro stabbed that bandit right through the chest.

hilarious that it's what, five years after the site update?

and you still have to beg Mangadex not to fuck with the English titles

I ended up installing a browser addon "Word Replacer Max" just so my feed isn't filled with useless gibberish
Part of this issue is MangaDex got nuked from the DMCA and they don't want titles in English anymore to prevent more accusations of "stealing" customers.

It does make things shitter but blame publishers and copyright law being broken.

I was hoping Haruka would resurrect the bandits, give them a scolding and let them go =( what a shame that didn't happen
I thought it was pretty clear that Haruka killed them in the first place because she knew the risk of them attacking them again was too high. She made the judgement that the lives of her friends are more important than the lives of the bandits trying to kill them and executed on that decision. Reviving them would have been a pretty major lapse in character that would directly oppose the reasoning for killing them in the first place. Additionally, as Haruka knows, just because you scold someone doesn't mean they will listen. Let alone bandits, I've worked in a position that could be summarized as a lifeguard for climbers for almost 3 years now and I can't tell you how many times I have talked to some people about their bad habbits that have the potential to get people hurt, yet they still don't change.

That is also not to say if she even is capable of something like that. She is powerful but not omnipotent.

It's a major theme she deals with for a very large future portion of the series, good stuff

Thanks for the chapter!

No one is born a bandit, but they all choose to murder and pillage honest folk. The idea that you should treat them with any kind of sympathy is comparable to letting a pack of wolves or a grizzly bear go. You can't afford them any kindness.
Historically most bandit groups tended to be entire villages that weren't able to produce enough to survive or were displaced due to war or natural disasters. Most Bandits are just regular people desperately trying to survive.

Sure you can. You just have to understand and be prepared for exactly what that means, and most people aren't.
My biggest regret was letting a drunk driver off and thinking he learned his lesson.... I later found out he had 3 DUI and is sitting in prison for a life, but still got out in just 2 years on "good behavior". What a joke.

Every time I see a character kill for the first time I remember Hunter X Hunter where one of the cast is shown to kill someone like it was nothing... it is never pointed out or anything but when you read it paying attention to that you suddenly remember this was the first time this character killed anyone and it did not bothered them one fraction of a second, it was just natural.
I always loved this little piece of writting between the "line" btw spoiler for the one that are intrested it was Gon and one of the ant people

Loosing empathy is a pretty steep slop to jump in, can be usefull/necesary but it is not one you should jump without consideration

On another notes I though it was a newish politics of MD to have the title in their """original""" language and a stupid decision but it is individual that are making all those change ?
Btw it is a stupid decision cause if you are actually an actual weeb that think japanesse/korean/chinese or whatever is supperior you should use the actual name and not the one using latin alphabet in the first place
Not to mention well we are on a translation site, people come here cause Jeonjijeok Dokja Sijeom does not mean shit to them... btw this is Omniscient Reader one of the most popular story around how many of you did know it under this name ? Solo Leveling the mangadex crashing juggernaut is Na Honjaman Level-Up, even with the level-up written in english idk how many people would know it under this title
This whole thing feel a lot like "Just According to the Keikaku" and I though we where being that 10 years ago
they said they plan on adding an option to choose the default title language, which is why everything is using the default one rn.

as usual th rollout is slow and causing confusion since it's not implemented yet.

it is better since it'll also catter to non-english speaking folk. thry just need yo push that uodate already.

Oh fuck yeah that is a great option, was itching about the fact we did not have this on md but also not like I 1m capable to implement it myself so I did not go bother the staff on the forum about it, but it is nice to know they are working on it
