Animal who somehow magical transformation to human, relationship between magical animal being and human is something is not that hard to make it justifiable, as many mainstream, folklore have done it

Tho i'm surprised that series doesn't have some 'troll/joke' chapter of some guy pretending to be a dog just to act as a kept man or so to be a freeloader XD; but yeah i don't think it'd get as serious/deep as like, beastars or so (tho i don't think there were full on humans there)
