The executioner probably evolved or got bigger before it died and that’s why it is different from the man’s flashbac.

oh. I feel dumb not noticing this earlier. The robot maid is in denial of her fundamental uselessness following her master's death, and keeps the mansion spotless. The holographic sprite is in denial of the shelter's uselessness following the death of all its inhabitants, keeping it in its original perfection. The only ones holding out for eternity are those who are too attached to the past to let it go.

they are AI's, they probably not programmed with the concept of organic death, like the maid thought his master could get cured, or the AI in the shelter didn't have any protocol of letting people left the shelter. They are programmed with a purpose and following said purpose until the end.

Very true, but I feel that's not all there is to it, at least in the case of the maid.
Part of it is definitely her being unable to truly understand death, but at the same it's kept ambiguous on purpose because the other implication is that she's simply denying reality, which is what makes her feel deeply sympathetic as a character and makes the whole thing heartbreaking.
