I appreciate that there wasn't a magical fix. The main character learned to be content with who she was. Very sweet.

So the MC is trying to change gender because he had a schizophrenic dream?
let's assume this is not a troll comment. no we are in a fictional media (not that it matter anyway) so you can take the claim of the isekai life at face value, heck she even got out with a physical ribbon pointing out that no this was not a dream but in fact her reality for a time.

In this reality she plainy and simply discovered she was more confortable in a women body that in her male body back on earth, so she decided to take that matter in her hand and started HRT.
And dirty TLDR of HRT but it is a threament where you replace your body hormone like testosterone the main man hormone by esterogen the main women one (the reality is a lot more complex and instresting but also complex)

Also if I want to be pissy she is not trying to change gender, as gender is defined by what you considere yourself as and she is well pass the point of trying to be a "she", she is starting to align her body a little more toward the sex that is asigned with the gender she identify as, obviously and very sadly HRT is not magic but it also go way father than most people realise

I mean MC is proven not to be a reliable narrator, since at the start he said that he feel asleep while gaming but roommate said that he was editing a video, so it's not a stretch to think that he simply bought that ribbon previously but forgot about it(maybe another schizophrenia attack), had a schizo dream and his brain used that ribbon to trick him into thinking it was real, if he got something unrealistic as a parting gift(he was supposedly in word of magic so it shouldn't be hard), then it would be confirmed that he was in fact in another world and it wasn't just a schizo dream.

technically it was that she said she left a heavy game running, which doesn't necessarily mean playing it (could happen if editing at the same time), nor does it exclude the possibility of just slacking off.

Yeah you could read it as that, but in my og comment I left a (not that it matter we are in a fictional media) because be it a dream or not the experience is real to her.
It is like those really intense dream, be it nightmare or else that follow you for a long time, in that case if it was just a dream that... well does not change any of her feeling about self discovery.
She dreamed about being a girl and really liked it and that impacted her how perseception of herself, or well more highlighted was was the problem with here own perseception, it is not like you where not trans before and suddenly you are, you where just not aware it was a thing for you/at all before

So yeah it could have been an unreliable narator but overall it change nothing, heck it even ground the thing more and that kinda a cool read too

Anyway I am still waiting on seeing myself as a girl in my dream that would be nice :aquadrink: or well have dream in the first place lol

Oh, this one, I remember reading this years and years back and being super confused on how someone never felt gender dysphoria their entire life and then suddenly felt it after like, some time in an isekai. And looking at it now, it might not even be real so it feels more and more strange to me because I can't comprehend how someone would be comfortable for so long and then suddenly uncomfortable.

Well whatever, I don't have gender dysphoria so maybe this is normal for people that do.

As a trans woman myself, I can confirm gender dysphoria can be weird like that. Some trans people claim to have never felt it. I felt it in waves growing up. Sometimes it'd be almost nonexistent, then I would notice some new detail about my body (especially during puberty) that would make the dysphoria come crashing down on me like a tsunami.
