...uh, dude went full KYS and (IRONY) ended up deceased. This is not a surprising outcome. You think that's antique? Look at this thread, the owner is DEAD (I miss my bro).

What's even funnier is that one of the guys he was beefing with (@NotGary) is also perma banned now....uh, dude went full KYS and (IRONY) ended up deceased. This is not a surprising outcome.
And David was dead to begin with, so it's like everyone involved managed to get a bad ending. What's even funnier is that one of the guys he was beefing with (@NotGary) is also perma banned now.![]()
And I win again by not being around at the time (I think I was playing Trails through Daybreak 1 and ignoring the forum). And David was dead to begin with, so it's like everyone involved managed to get a bad ending.![]()
one day i'm gonna have to sit down and grind these games out. if the latter half of what's out right now is as time-consuming as the Sky and Crossbell arcs then it'll be a serious time commitment (and yes i go around town and talk to every npc after every slight story progression. it's the way the games were meant to be played.)(I think I was playing Trails through Daybreak 1 and ignoring the forum).
And it's well worth it to play from the beginning, just make sure to space each game out so you don't burn yourself out of the series. Also, for the love of Dex, don't start in the middle of the journey (there are people out there who seriously recommend starting from Cold Steel).one day i'm gonna have to sit down and grind these games out. if the latter half of what's out right now is as time-consuming as the Sky and Crossbell arcs then it'll be a serious time commitment
As you should.(and yes i go around town and talk to every npc after every slight story progression. it's the way the games were meant to be played.)
i've actually played the first five games in sequential order already, which is how i know that i can sink an average of 90ish hours into each. so once i do continue i'll be on trails of cold steel 1, the first harem-type game. And it's well worth it to play from the beginning, just make sure to space each game out so you don't burn yourself out of the series. and nothing of value will be lostSomeday the Casual Chatting thread will be locked for good and all will be lost
Ehhh, it's a decent but I have a negative opinion on Cold Steel so I'm biased. Still, I enjoyed it for what it was. Though Trails into Reverie (which is the epilogue of Cold Steel) is one of my favorite games in the series so it's not all bad.i'm also somewhat concerned that the games cold steel onward will be too tropey (i know the first five had their fair share but they had genuinely good stories as well). basing this solely off of a few comments on r/falcom that i read 2-4 years ago btw
To be honest, never played them since they are only very loosely connected to Trails.I first played Legend of Heroes 1 2 and 3 on the PSP when they came out. And sure, they were fun but incredibly mediocre.
Well there was already a fanbase in the West because of Trails in the Sky and it's incredible story telling, but when Cold Steel happened, that's when the series exploded in popularity (though in my opinion, it's the weakest arc in the entire series). And then you could also account for Daybreak now too since the graphics and gameplay have come a long way since the beginning, which attracts new fans. Now though everyone's talking about the series. Like, what happened?
Haha, I really do want to get into the Ys series but I'm busy with other stuff, but I'm definitely going to get around to binging all the games sooner or later. Love the music! And still no one cares about the Ys series. Boo.
i remember him because hes the only one ive actually reported
Good song but I'm a big fan of Kainé Salvation.nice ost but honestly thats one of my least fav from nier automata bipolar nightmare still takes the cake
as banana said, the Trails series are in a completely separate universe. i don't even know anything about the plot/gameplay of the pre-Trails Legend of Heroes games, but all the Trails games are set on the same continent with each arc of the overarching plot consisting of multiple games.I first played Legend of Heroes 1 2 and 3 on the PSP when they came out. good to know there are still high points. every Cold Steel game will probably be over 100 hours if i'm going for all achievements (i am) so i'll probably just end up nolifing them when i get the time to. i don't know the consensus on the Calvard arc yet but i hope it's better than Cold Steel.Ehhh, it's a decent but I have a negative opinion on Cold Steel so I'm biased. Oh man, I wish you good luck to that buddy. I also got all the achievements for the Cold Steel games and wow, I never want to do that again (it's not even hard, just tedious with certain achievements).if i'm going for all achievements (i am)
I've been trying to steer clear of anything online about it, but I heard its a mixed reception with the second game in Daybreak. Me myself, I'm loving it but I find some stuff can be a slog to get through so I understand somewhat.i don't know the consensus on the Calvard arc yet but i hope it's better than Cold Steel.
i like a good challenge actually. i also like time-consuming achievements. ok i just like achievements. as long as none are as hard as the rollercoaster achievement in Ao no Kiseki (shit took me forever) then i'm confident i'll get them.Oh man, I wish you good luck to that buddy. i looked up spoilers about the Cold Steel games years ago that i still remember but it's whatever. as long as i don't get spoiled about my boy Olivert then i'm good. also i'm not too hung up on spoilers with most series, it's more about how the writing/story comes together.I've been trying to steer clear of anything online about it, but I heard its a mixed reception with the second game in Daybreak. Just one warning, BTO. Make sure to be careful when looking stuff up for Trails into Reverie or the Daybreak games, huge spoilers can be found easily.
Dood you are bringing up some repressed trauama from getting past achievements. I remember there being one minigame Falcom loved to put in a lot of the Trails games that is a make or break on whether or not I give up on 100%ing the game (putting it in spoiler but I think the minigame was in the Crossbell games too?): defeating everyone on Puyo Puyo, including the impossible ones. It's not in every game but man, I HATE Puyo Puyo.i like a good challenge actually. i also like time-consuming achievements. ok i just like achievements. as long as none are as hard as the rollercoaster achievement in Ao no Kiseki (shit took me forever) then i'm confident i'll get them.
that was also in the Crossbell games, yeah. i remember it being difficult (especially the one against Campanella) but the theme park ride achievement took me waaay longer.defeating everyone on Puyo Puyo, including the impossible ones. It's not in every game but man, I HATE Puyo Puyo.![]()

I wouldn't recommend playing the original PSP trilogy. The gameplay is on the level of a Kemco RPG.as banana said, the Trails series are in a completely separate universe. i don't even know anything about the plot/gameplay of the pre-Trails Legend of Heroes games, but all the Trails games are set on the same continent with each arc of the overarching plot consisting of multiple games.
maybe one day when i've finished the Trails series and caught up on the rest of my backlog (no i definitely won't be 63 by then)I would really recommend the Ys series though, if you haven't played it. It's also by Falcom.
Yep it's also in my backlog, but I probably will only play it later since I'm going through a little bit of a burnout with Falcom games with all the Trails I've played.I would really recommend the Ys series though, if you haven't played it. It's also by Falcom.
