What code editor do you use and why?

I think the recommendation was using pycharm, but I'm still at the early chapters so I don't think it matters that much.
This is way too many months late, but notebook based editors (Jupyterlab, Google collab, marimo, vscode plug-in, etc) are really really nice when you're just starting out.

in windows i use notepad++ and in linux i use vim. i only do quick editing, so i've always found those two to be good for my use-case.

VScode because I am very basic :3 (also its the only one im used to, apart from notepad++ cuz I like the chameleon :3 )

VSCode so I can feel like a leet boy. Jupyter Notebook when I need to pay my bills.

For quick editing, Notepad++. Its GUI help me a lot to locate the exact position that need the quick fix.

For building Java application, I'd prefer Netbeans. I start use it while on my early year on college since it's free and had user-friendly tool and GUI to drag and drop any items that I need to add on my app.

But the rest, for now I still using VSCode. I was planned to give a try on Zed or Trae since my senior suggest them but I too lazy to do it. My manga list and games are more interesting than my code lines.
