Yeah, I was confused too. Was there a missing part? Were the pages out of order? But I guess they had limited pages, just wanted to progress and so just jumped in to the scene of putting mana in the swords with zero explanation as to why she would be doing that.

The vampires see them as food so it's just not possible to become friends. They're also be introducing themselves by attacking the villages so it's really not like they will have the convenience of getting to know each other to become friends. There will just be fighting and killing.

I'm curious if the master of that group will reveal he's not the mastermind behind the attack or if he'll be killed too quickly to have a chance to offer trading information for his life.
