The author could have focused on the two protagonists, developed their relationship further, explored the promise they made, and perhaps included a REALLY GOOD drama. But no, he delivers a completely unnecessary arc, with yet another insignificant character and a drama that only hinders the development.

This arc it's such a stretch. Takamine will revert time each time she'll remove her pantie between each break, since the goal is to see who can be the fastest and efficient closet to put it on. And the only one who can remember what happen prior to that is Shirota. So, she'll keep track of the score. Takamine won't cheat for Shirota. Because, If she really wanted to get rid of her, Takamine would have already done it.

Sooo, like it has been said, another test for Shirota to see if he'll fight for Takamine ? or Takamine want to teach him a lesson that he can't rely on her to solve all his problem by reverting time, like the first time he was trapped by Shinagashi . And he must, eeeh, show his worth by solving this in a fair duel (fair duel.. ). I can't understand what's the author goal here

Firstly, a disclaimer: I know it's ecchi, so the story is secondary to cartoon lumpy bits that teenage boys can get hard over.
Secondly, is axe-cun on the horizon? Desperate drama usually arrives when sales figures are not that good. I've seen a couple of interesting suggestions above that can explain this, but come on, this is not high art, this is just Japan being messed up, as per usual.

I've argued before the minimum progress and now after it that I want Shirota to stand up for himself. I want him to not compete here. Then work on himself become confident maybe even get into the school Takamine-san is trying for. He builds a life and finds a girl that really loves him, shattering Takamine-san world. If she resets it he'll know and if she uses the SA timeline he'll have developed enough to fight it or say Id rather go to jail then be a slave. Taking back control.

Otherwisr The author really needs to focus on character development. Shirota should be more self assured by now. Takamine-san's world view should be explored more. Maybe even have Shirota's confidence draw in more friends at school.

Im hoping this isnt going to be one chapter per break period...
