This guy is desperately looking for attention...
Sometimes when I was watching anime last year (and to this day) I am thinking - what would be needed for someone in real life to have similar kind of insight, intuition and heightened senses. Always come to one conclusion - you would have to grow up in environment needed for all of those to constantly cultivate so it would become your nature. Given Ryo`s backstory his "insight" definitely makes sense. Also always amazes me when it happens (after he entered room). Especially that it`s usually well explained just like in this chapter - "you smell like battlefield" and noticed gun under his jacket which girls did not.
