It means that the immaterium is strong in this one.I wonder what the snake means about his power being warped?

The writer has obviously played Sword World. That's a Zerlay!its basically the ancient super civilization or a replica based on it trope.
that ruined themselves one way or another.
You know what walks of four in the morning, on two in the day and on three in the evening?Let's follow the check list to see if it's human or not :
Featherless
Biped
Conclusion : Definitively not a human
... an old man with erectile dysfunction and a huge dong? You know what walks of four in the morning, on two in the day and on three in the evening?
The pacing and characterization have turned to fermented hot dog water. Its like they completely forgot they where portraying him as a fully grown conscientious man in a child's body. Why did it take 2 chapters to convince him he might as well help the weird snake? Why are these spirits simultaneously capable of assuring Tetras safety but they cant make any kind of promise to make his efforts worthwhile? Were probably going to see the snake later on in the story, so why the hell not just have the snake actually negotiate with the guy instead of demanding help for no reason? Why is everyone angry here? I for one am pumped to see what the author's cooking with the plot and world building here, it'll be insane if this all actually pays off in the future. At least it's better than generic fantasy Isekai #5000.
I feel like if a person was suddenly transported to a whole another dimension and confronted with a snake who's asking you to help (against someone who can damage it,no less), I'm sure they'd be quite hesitant as well. He's just confused with such a sudden situation, I'm sure most people would be.The pacing and characterization have turned to fermented hot dog water. We've learned nothing of substance about anyone in the story, I might as well have not even read these two chapters.
That's most of why I presume most of us are finding this less than stellar.
It is 100x worse if there's no connection or consequences for anything that happens in the spirit world. There was no reason for any of this to even happen if that's the case. I suppose you are correct and I could have accounted for an even stupider and more flawed way to write the story but I wanted to be more charitable than that.I feel like if a person was suddenly transported to a whole another dimension and confronted with a snake who's asking you to help (against someone who can damage it,no less), I'm sure they'd be quite hesitant as well. It's also pretty obvious why they can't promise anything worthwhile: they're in literally another dimension. I wouldn't be surprised if the spirits don't have much power in effecting the physical world, that's why the snake spirit was literally about to leave saying "I can't force them", it was asking for Ren's goodwill. You're assuming a LOT of stuff without knowing anything yet for some reason.
I for one love these slow burn world building mystery stories where we learn everything with the characters.
