I feel like the best outcome of this is them talking it out and agreeing to separate on better terms but I'll just let the author cook

Hang on... do you think Hozue killed herself anyway in the other timeline? Sure, the ebents leading up to it would have been different, but her whole social position was really precarious, and even if it wasn't Koharu who suddenly "outranked" her, she might've came to the same conclusion once her friends turned their backs on her.
Possible, but personally I don't find it likely. Hozue's breaking point was caused by one of her lackeys "betraying" her, of which was caused by the other lackey mending her situation with Koharu. Take Koharu out of the situation and the chain of events probably would not happen in the first place. Hozue would still have some backing as she kept her bossy aggresive facade.

O fucc. Come to think of it, I forsee many people here having bad futures, but Hozue specifically was in a precarious position.

I almost want Koharu to spend an arc  back in her 35-year-old timeline, both to prove that she could have improved her life without the earlier start, and possibly to see how everyone else ended up if she hadn't jumped back. But I highly doubt this is the kind of story where that could happen.

A flash-forward-backward where we see what happens to everyone in the original Kanba's timeline would be terrifyingly delicious.

There’s something so, so refreshing about the setting of this story where everyone is inherently a good person deep down, and that all conflicts are resolvable with empathy and conversation.
Except that one guy, but he slipped on dogshit and died per request, so it’s all good?
