With the current pace, even if the author decides to develop the last section more, the story would likely be done in a dozen chapters or so.

I wonder if they'll expand the story outside the scope of the original and then keep going, or just improve the (very rushed) original ending but keep it mostly the same.

I actually hope this story can be wrapped up fast. I don't want to see any expansion such as revenge arc, abolishing elf slave trade, or anything. Just let both of them be happy and Rezzure recover completely. They have gone through a lot.. both of them

I'd have to re-read the original web series, but from what I remember, Reszurre got a wheelchair and then mechanical limbs before the sister was introduced.

Yea a little I think.. sister is being introduced quite a bit earlier. Maybe it's just an intro shot though as there's supposed to be a whole lot of development between the two of them before the sister shows up.

Cut her some slack, the kidnappers did a great job of covering up their tracks, the noble logically kept her existence hidden from the outside world (both to avoid the elves tracking her and to avoid rival nobles stealing her for themselves), and there's a very good reason why it took until now for the elves to take until now to track her down (her rather liberal use of elven magic that is supposed to be restricted by elven law).

I'm assuming that those things you mentioned will happen first, and the sister's appearance in the final page is just foreshadowing for her inevitable arrival in town a few chapters later, rather than implying the next chapter is going to be about said arrival.

I really hope they do. I know the story is pretty much just about the recovery and rehabilitation of reszurre, but it feels like a premise that's ripe for many other stories about them as well. Heck, an arc about therapy for the apothecary would be dope.

That was at the cost of her lifespan, and IMO it was more for her to be able to have children rather than restoring limbs. Otherwise logical way would be to wait for zombie doctor to get more spare parts in stock. Elven lifespan for the ability to have kids of the man she loves - IMO a decent trade.

I get why it happened narratively, doesn't make it any less of a copout that makes all her pain trivial.

Yeah. Around the time she showed up the author stepped on the gas and the pace of the story accelerated massively before wrapping up.

I was following it on fanbox, and the reason was pixiv/fanbox at the time decided to restrict some content on fanbox and author got rattled that it might affect him too and decided to hurry up with the conclusion.
