Mine's the culprit as expected. Interesting that the teacher's been her pawn for who knows how long. I think the latest it happened was after chapter 12, when Isanuma told her about her upcoming date with the teacher, that Mine wanted to learn all the details about. It's possible Mine recorded their date and has been using it as blackmail material ever since. Though given all the rumors about how shady their teacher is, it's possible she caught him doing something else and has been holding that over him even prior to that. There's a reason why the teacher wouldn't admit to why he helped Mine.

Now, to see what Mine plans to do next, since she discarded the teacher toy into the trash at the end of the chapter. Wonder if she plans to get him fired somehow, or replace him with another pawn in their class. She has no more use for him and he outed her involvement to Isanuma. I noticed the teacher's phone screen seemed to be on during the meeting with Isanuma and Kurumi, so it's possible the entire conversation got broadcasted back to Mine, which she finally cut off when she realized he crumbled and ratted her out.

Honestly, Kurumi's plan went way better than I expected it to. But I have to wonder how she'll handle things going forward. Will she really delete the evidence against the teacher so easily? He's a very corrupt guy and she outright pointed out in the previous chapter that it's his fault that Naoi's in her current situation. So, we'll see if she keeps her promise on that front. Thing is, even if she does, Mine might post whatever evidence she has against the teacher instead. In that case, I have to wonder if Isanuma would realize it was Mine, or think Kurumi lied to her.

Honestly, this chapter made it really clear that Isanuma isn't over the teacher at this point. Though I think him trying to kiss up to her this chapter was fake, and just him trying to get her to back down and not do anything else to get him into trouble. He was probably worried she'd report him to the school for almost attacking her in chapter 25. Him getting his comeuppance finally is really overdue, so I don't see him lasting past the end of this volume. He's just a pawn in the other's games.

We'll see how Kurumi's arch cover-up deal with the teacher goes. It seems like she did it to exonerate Naoi like she planned, since she currently has nothing solid against Mine. The teacher's way too shady for his word to count for much, so she deemed his well-oiled cover-up skills a better idea in this case. Same as what he pulled in chapter 12. Obviously, Isanuma wasn't happy with that, since it might only intensify the rumors that she was the real culprit and that the teacher was covering for her. In fact, all the new details about the school security would make it seem to the class like the fake witness had to be Isanuma, since no other student would've been around at that time to have reported supposedly seeing Naoi there that night.

As for Kudou, she's definitely escalating her behavior toward Naoi. Becoming more violent the more Naoi clings to her relationship with Kurumi. Hard to tell what she might do next. While Naoi seems to have taken Kurumi's confession to heart and is trying to improve herself by studying to get into college. It seems she hasn't truly given up being with Kurumi eventually, but she wants to be Kurumi's equal. This is the complete opposite of Kudou, who wants Naoi to stay beaten down and broke, so that Naoi's completely dependent on her.

Can't wait to see how this all plays out, but looks like I'll have to, since the series wasn't listed in next month's Yuri Hime magazine teaser. So, chapter 28 should be out in February.

Kudo doesn't want Naoi to be completely dependent on her. She's addicted to Naoi's sadistic treatment of her dating back to that abusive encounter in... middle school? Kudo doesn't care about the money or even really care about Naoi; she just wants Naoi to stay the same horrible person who turned her into a barely-functional masochist, because only Naoi can sate those masochistic desires.

That's why she tries so hard to separate Kurumi and Naoi; Kurumi gets in the way not only by distracting Naoi (ignoring that Naoi barely tolerates Kudo's existence to begin with and only even took the money to start saving for college), but because Kurumi makes Naoi want to be a better person. Kurumi makes Naoi feel happy and guilty, both of which dull the bitter animosity that makes Kudo so fixated on Naoi. Without that Naoi is no longer the person who Kudo became obsessed with, the one person in existence who can feed her addiction.

It's like a druggie forcing their dealer to keep dealing rather than turn over a new leaf.

It's supposed to be Isanuma. To signify Mine's obsession with her.
Yeah - I kinda like that each character is fixated on another in a (mostly) one-way fashion, and that pretty much all of the narrative tension results entirely from those uneven feelings.

Makes me wonder if Mine has been pulling strings for awhile now in an effort to get Isanuma isolated and thus all to herself, or something. The dollhouse very much insinuates she's a spider in her web of pawns, so her orchestrating certain events to that end would be compelling.

They do be needing some towels man.. why is everyone 24/7 sweating like they just ran a marathon 🥲

Also the wannabe Villain against Naoi is honestly getting pretty ridiculous.. like her character as a whole feels pretty weak especially since its only possible because Naoi's personality does 180 for no reason in her presence literally getting stomped on, at this point the story would be more logical if she just called the police for literal assault and property damage, but the story flow feels kinda weird, for example the school apparently only has a singular damn adult in it and that said adult acts like a child while going after every girl 😐

And Naoi apparently has a conditional backbone that appears and disappears when necessary

Naoi's been in a bad mental state ever since her mom reappeared. As for Kudou, Naoi can't out what Kudou's doing to her without it getting out that she lured Kudou into the woods, savagely assaulted her, then continued using Kudou as a punching bag for the rest of middle school.
