Cannot for the life of me find the book version of this. I’ve found chapters but all I found was 9, there is no was a manga was made based off a single volume right? Right?!

A battle milf wearing thigh-high boots and a skin-tight suit accentuating all of her assets, most prominently her vulva - yeah that's not a villainess story drawn for shoujo or josei audiences, but it is interesting that this girl-oriented setup is being packaged and marketed towards boys

I only found up to chapter 9, but it included a bunch of other scenes which the mangaka alluded to not being able to include at the end of volume 1.

For anyone else, this only goes up to the village visit, so the manga is much further ahead.

And yet horrible sites like Alpha Manga that will do nothing but try to snipe an already translated series, release 2 chapters free, then charge money with no free release schedule are completely fine.

dude wtf u on, Alpha Manga is official licensee that try to catch pirate back into the system, Asmodeus is just scans team who paywall their translations, a for-profit scans

allegedly, site like Asmodeus is the reason mangadex got dmca'd, as they paywall their stuff but use mangadex as the free ad billboard where they divert people from here with 'more chapter on our site' but when they get attacked with anti-piracy it's mangadex who lose since mangadex does not really collect money for the site but still have to tend to the site to avoid closure where the other site(not just asmodeus but also other similar site) can just rebrand and open new sites right away

Just like how we now look back on the days before the Isekai glut as the golden days, I fear the current reality of free scanlation sites are transient as well. No matter how much we want to deny or disguise it, we are enjoying the fruits of others' commercial labor without directly compensating the creators and licensors.

For now, we're able to mostly go under the radar because of the difficulties in automated detection of almost-but-not-identical manga/wha/hua pages thanks to the armies of scanlators collective efforts, but with the abundance of idle compute cycles, language models, translation technology, and textual inferencing, I can see a time when some company will be able process an image of a manga page, or even partial manga page, and not only source the original work, but also parse the translation to compare it so as to differentiate between Fair Use, derivative work, protected satire/parody, etc. and infringement.

I'm sad all the chapters are now gone. This was one of my 10/10 titles, and even one on my private MDlist of re-readworthy works. However, I have to acknowledge this is the ever-changing landscape in which we wander.

Everything is ephemeral. Nothing exists except as allowed by monied interests, or by their ignorance. And, with datacenters metastasizing, they will be ignorant of fewer and fewer items over time.

Ok so...they want money for their work translating...but it's "mangadex" that gets attacked when their work gets taken down. And Alpha Manga is the good guy because they want payment for their licensed work, but you're defending them on a pirating website.

By your logic there Mangadex is the bad guy in the equation.
