mate i'm gonna be real, i am completely and immensely lost on what the story is about anymore, i think i was fine till around the 30s cause wasn't that the point were the readers were all like "wtf is ts author??"? i'm still gonna keep on reading cause (all horniness aside) i really do like the art and the character design! (e.g ch84 the golem and "Skuld?" (is that her name?) was hella epic to see!) but damn the story is just... blah to get into imo

MC is just sticking to his will and respect all the characters in the game he likes including Butao’s feeling toward Kaoru so the way he stays basically neutral and not going around building a harem cheer squad is already better than load of shitty isekais out there (Bro having an oshii who hates him is funny tho).
Seems like the manga artist for this adaptation got a whole lot better toward the end of this volume , the action scenes got better along with paneling.

Really hope they restructure the story, I'm so fucking done with bitch-ass MCs, with bitch ass side characters with nothing to add to the story other than yap a fuck ton.

Narrative wise, novel is pretty much the same. Manga just has WAY more Koaru glazing for no reason (i say no reason because MC has absolutely no intentions to get with her or be close to her. It's all the fat fuck inside of him who is as repulsive as he is). She has like %90 less importance in the novel. MCs overall attitude towards everything doesn't really change either. Things happen around him, they force his hand and he is forced to take action to stay alive. Story is so out of order that his "muh story" rumblings are bordering mental illness at this point.

This is also what I thought, despite being in control, the MC does not feel like he's actually in "control", Butao is still controlling the MC, unlike Tsukishima at least seems to be doing things on his own accord and even Nitta seems free. It's such a shame cause the art is actually good and the battle scenes looks amazing. The author should never write again or at least have their work be heavily watched to remove or at least reduce the amount of bullshit they add to their work. If the MC instead got put inside Tsukishima's character, this would've been bearable.
