I was wondering about that. Were those in english in the raw ? Or in japanese that the typesetter had to painfully delete then paint over ? Coz I don't remember ever seeing a version of these kind of glasses with kanji (or really any non-latin script) but china/japan have to be big enough markets to justify making special versions just for those countries ? Maybe it's just they're not that much into the western calendar's new year…

The raw is in English, same with "Merry Christmas" on Takizawa's chest in the omake. While you're correct that Japanese does have Kana/Kanji for Christmas and HPNY, this is an indie title that YanBARU create and self-publish, so it's not subjected to standard editorial found on serialized title. The author simply chose to use English on many occasion and that's about it.
