mana do make her own effort and learn magic to make her plan works. Pina just using game item to cheats and doing no effort to secure her position.

at least Mana is smart enough but MC is smarter. Pina underestimate and rely on cheats too much. Mana manipulate people using her own social skill and only resort to using memory manipulating magic when all not working as intended.

When the Charm effect lifted, she already screwed as her bond and other people based on cheat item, not by her own skilled. She can farm her level by herself but she chooses to follow the scenario and didn't farm her level.

The "trial" was a good arc, if a bit spread out across the chapters; but it does make for a lot of good drama and mounting tension.

No, Mana is still the Saint in the WN, she just doesn't do shit there, compared to how they did her in the manga, especially on this part lol
