Just caught up; been putting this series off for years for no real reason and I regret not picking it up sooner. It's fantastic.

Kalego is by far my favorite character, even though there's so many wonderful characters. A strict and petty teacher done perfectly right.

He's very strict, very petty but he's a TEACHER first and foremost. He really cares under it all and truly likes seeing the misfits get better and better. They are his treasures.

(Also...Robin scares me)

Kalego praising them for their decision making might be one of the first unprompted praises we've heard yet. I think having the misfits is making him soften up!

And it seems the arc of Border Patrol is continuing on. Between Mephisto's scala exam, the portal to another world, and Narnia's suspicion about Iruma being a human, it appears the jaws are closing in on Iruma's secret. He just reaffirmed he wants to stay in the demon world. Now will we see him fight for it?

Probably this next arc is going to be a lot of teachers moving. I think Shiida is gonna have to do some inner reflection as well.

It's gonna be fun! I can't wait!

Though I think that was meant towards all students in general. Iruma and the other Misfits are more personal treasures for Kalego, but it really stresses the point that Kalego would probably look at Iruma no differently even if he knew Iruma or any of the others weren't demons because alk that matters is that they're his students and he will defend them all until the day they're ready to stand tall on their own. He's strict and stern, but it's all a form of tough love, even if his general mannerisms express otherwise.
