That so-called prosperity was built on innocent sacrifices
This would probably hit harder if we saw more of the prosperity and how it was actually built on innocent sacrifices. Like in this monologue she says what feels like for the first time "this dark magic started this nation, then some light magic users took over. innocent sacrifice." Like how many dark magic users were there actually? How did they get sacrificed? Why did they actually get discriminated against in the first place (cause like, some light magic user got into power and everyone for some reason secretly hated dark magic users and now they get shunned?)? How did any of this actually come about? I really wish there was more time to be spent to actually delve into these cause it's not a very satisfying explanation of things.

Ooft. The contrast between the cutesy halloween chapter and this is fantastic. Blood and cthonic monstrosities everywhere! And boobs! And the witch ironically being named Nova? Chef’s kiss! And Nova almost seems justified: sure the populace is ignorant of the basis of their power, but the prejudice against dark magic still exists. Heck, if I were her I’d also be going All Monsters Attack on the kingdom. What is Evris gonna do?!? (We all know what she’s gonna choose…)

Thank you for the chapter!

Sadly, Nova's decision leads nowhere, destroying everything is easy and then restarting the process might seem like a good idea at first, but then what if it repeats itself. I think there was even a story somewhere where a goddess kept taking over bodies and restarting the development of the world because every time, she was unsatisfied with the results.

It’s rushed, is what it is. The concept could work, but it needed more time to land with any impact.

I feel like that'd be the point of discussion next chapter, it's a big point to overlook.

Well, if the prince dies and the king too, I think it’s an acceptable loss if it means saving the world. Heck, it’s an acceptable loss if it means nothing at all.
