Honestly, just feels like shock value for the sake of shock value. Like they realized they hadn't been edgy in the backstory yet so they threw in an underaged girl being SA'd and tortured for the sake of having something dark. There are so many ways they could've done this, and it just feels so cheap at this point. I'm not sure why slop-sekai authors have such an obsession with SA, but it's quite frankly getting annoying to see them throwing it around so often.

To me it's because of how free and cheap it is, you get to remove a character that won't need to build character development down the line, it gives shock value, and let you get reactions from at least 1 or more related characters to get the plot going, it's so free we're literally getting 3-4 birds with 1 stone in this one chapter.

So they throw in a childhood friend fodder so that they can show up the new paths these 2 chars are going but its pretty dumb seeing as how it seems like they COMPLETELY skipped over the revenge part? I hope they somehow show the revenge part like next ch or something cause if not then this whole back story is a complete waste of time for not making sense at all

So, they opted not to check on their friend for days, and when they start getting seriously concerned, rather than going and asking the family, they decide to go on an adventure in the woods. The only reason they learned anything happened was because they chose to keep playing. Might be one of the dumber ways of writing a tragic backstory I've seen.

SA as a plot device is rarely given the proper gravitas it requires, and it's not something I would expect most any isekai to handle with care. Fridging in general is so cheap and overused in manga

You know....if they never gets the bandit then it's either a strong bandit (which tbh will be hunted by the empire) or the patrol themselves.....tho i might be reaching, but tbh it's not even that high with the empire history and whatnot

Depends on the story. The women in mob isekai have a really nice life over men
