The Edeka in my city has a instant variant with packages of dried toppings and measured amounts of Miso paste.
It's really nice and savoury

A friend from Germany told me that most breakfasts there are more savory like bread or rolls with cold cuts, cheese, or butter. Sweet stuff like jam, honey, or pastries happens too, but mostly on weekends or for kids.

On the average breakfasts, it depends. I mainly eat two eggs, coffee and now miso soup. Used to have cereals, but I kinda haven't eaten them for a while now.
Otherwise, bread with stuff on it is the standard food. We have a lot of bread, UNESCO World Inheritance has been applied to our bread culture, btw. Not that I can enjoy any of that with my Celiacs orz.

Wow, that’s interesting! Eating rice as soup sounds like a cozy breakfast. Two eggs, coffee, and miso soup sounds like a solid start to the day. And I didn’t know Germany’s bread culture was UNESCO recognized that’s wild! Sorry to hear about your celiac though, that must make enjoying all those breads tricky.
