never read kengan but this is highkey peak
I actually read Kengan Ashura for the first time because I was bored waiting for new CC chapters. It was pretty decent but honestly no fight in it felt as peak as Florida Man vs God in a Box or El Cucaracho vs Violence Incarnate.

El Cucaracho only has no rhythm because he doesn't even try in his fights. Beatdown is able to hear his beat when he starts dodging (IE: actually taking things seriously). We'll probably get a Cucaracho sound reveal next chapter.
It goes to show just how hype this series is.
Because that's one of the ways you can tell how good a series is when stuff like "oh I'm really hyped to find out what this character's fighting style sounds like" is stuff that the Fandom's excited for.
When the fans want to see the minor stuff just as much as the major you know you wrote peak.

Pete's story isn't unique but it's also just so interesting in the context of the rest of the series.
Pete is gifted but not to an extreme degree like monkey see. he doesn't have a tragic or traumatic backstory. he doesn't have an extreme desire to hurt people or to be the strongest. he's a guy with an incredible talent that no one will ever get to see not even himself.

It's like if an artist was a master at painting but only on a specific surface that couldn't be painted on or else it would melt.

Orchestra scene was so awesome (I laughed on second read through because I noticed then they were all feet)
The idea of Pete being an orchestra instead of a singular instrument is so fun so.

I love the contrast between Pete's immense sound and El Cucaracho dead quiet it's such a fascinating concept because they're basically perfect for each other.

I can't wait to see how this goes it's all fucking peak.

I genuinely keep coming back every 3-4 days and refresh the page 4-5 times, waiting for new chapter like an addict.

after re reading it i think el cucaracho's secret is that if anything really inflicts damage to him, he can dodge it instantly if it's used again, hence why he was able to dodge beat down's elbow that was outside his line of view the second time he thrown it, still doesn't explain how he doesn't fall for it if it;s a faint

I doubt

I doubt EC would have anything like Reinhard's divine protections. Obviously this comic isn't all too realistic, but explaining it away like that would just be too easy and bring up more questions than answers. What counts as a new attack? If Pete were to turn his foot slightly would that now count as a different attack? I may be misremembering, but didn't Violence throw out an elbow which EC dodged, yet he didn't dodge the second time? I don't remember that exact same elbow being thrown beforehand but I may be misremembering. I feel like a more feasible answer would be that because EC is nearing closer and closer to death (despite being in fight-or-flight) his perception of time is slowing down, similar to that of Florida Man. This would answer how he's able to dodge most fighters attacks and seemingly appear behind them when someone of his build shouldn't be moving that fast, he's making the smallest amount of movements possible to reach that destination, and once he's 'out of danger', (or maybe it simply runs out because there's nothing inducing it?) he's able to continue attacking as normal whilst trying to both die yet survive. This would also make sense with how FM couldn't dodge Pete's attacks as they were simply too fast so EC was the same until this most recent kick. We'll likely get more information soon, but that's what I believe to be most logical as it stands right now.
