2 future wives who really care about and love MC. i don’t get why MC acts so cowardly when other people mock himmaybe there’ll be a scene in the next chapter where MC ends up helping the people who were trash-talking him.

Of course he's not going to speak up, because that'd make sense and would be a healthy social skill, which mangaka hardly seem to know. So, what - he's just not gonna actually speak up about wanting to fight as well?
The longer that goes on, the worse it's gonna be for all of them, because they'll also likely feel like shit if he bottles it up and lets it fester until the truth comes out at the worst possible time in the most toxic way.
And now that his weird skill whatsit is talking to him again, I can't help but imagine more hardship will be on the way. Continuing this reluctance to be upfront and honest might become actively dangerous, in that event.
"Oh woo me i am soooooo weaaak!" did onehit a powerful monster wolf that did gave the other advenatures troubleAh yes, the usual forced "I'm not good enough for them" mental conflict, despite the fact that the entire party is aware of how powerful he is and how he pulls his weight in the party.
they also still (from his POV) seem to sideline him, like they did twice here in this very chapter. But his interpretation is not what theirs is, and even though he is powerful now, his historic treatment by everyone around him would have a lasting impact that's hard to shake when even those he trusts & considers allies seem to actively prevent him from participating.Ah yes, the usual forced "I'm not good enough for them" mental conflict, despite the fact that the entire party is aware of how powerful he is and how he pulls his weight in the party.
This^ finally someone who gets it. Like I totally get being tired of a trope, but every reply in this thread so far is all bitching as to why this MC isn't instantly over his trauma. Like yeah this isn't high art on the level of Frieren but this actually has a purpose. Context is important him not speaking up doesn't come out of nowhere and its a deeply rooted thing after years of being looked down on, he isn't suddenly going to get over it. The girls also don't know him well enough yet to really understand what he's thinking in these moments and the next chapter or few chapters will probably have them talk it out. We're still in the growth phase of these character give it time.they also still (from his POV) seem to sideline him, like they did twice here in this very chapter. It needs to be a conversation between them, which - again, contextually wouldn't be his strong suit. But the other two aren't exactly communicating either, so. "two-way street" and all that.
I was surprised by the fact that the girls were wearing pants. In manga, mangaka tend to think that girls are immune to the cold in their legs…I also approve of the choice to go for winter clothing in a winter dungeon. That is one of those details you don't see that often.
