Fun start and I'm digging the art style. Author has a good sense for paneling, too

It kinda bugs me when isekai-type manga start with some kind of injustice or unresolved conflict in "our world". It's like, in our world, the proper response for victims of bullying is just to lay there and take it (and even die, if it so happens), and any kind of retribution, resolution, or revenge can only be had in the consequences-free "other world"? And even if that's not the point, it still leaves the readers with a sense of unresolved tension, with the half-baked premise set up in the first few pages never taken to a conclusion.

The thing is these are Japanese stories for a Japanese audience based on Japanese culture which is like that, and bullying is rampant as a result. There the one who causes a scene is at fault, and if you stand up for yourself or speak up YOU caused the scene. Teachers have even been known to turn a blind eye to it, because their culture is more about appearances then substance.

There is so much bullying because a lot of these stories are escapist fantasies for the bullied. Same thing with the black company employees stories.

That’s actually how it works in real life. If you report the behavior, they lie and their friends back them up and you get in trouble for lying. If you fight back, they say you started it and they were just minding their own business, and again, you get in trouble. Try explaining to authority figures that you are the victim, and it ends up being your word versus multiple other people’s word (the bully gang or even just their friends who egged them on). Most targets of bullying eventually end up accepting that there’s nothing they can do about it (this is also the reason bullies target the quiet, shy, nice kids, easy targets). I spent K-12 and college experiencing this first hand.

Sad, but unfortunately true.
The bad thing is a lot of those authority figures know the truth, but can either do not care or can not do anything without evidence.

Which is exactly why there are mountains of manga that solve their bullying problems one way or another instead of sticking to exaclty what's true to life. People reading manga like to read things like that. Because it's manga not real life.

1st guy: As a reader it feels unsatisfying when a plot point goes unresolved.

Me: Sir I would simply like to point out that works of fiction do not necessarily explicitly depict reality and therefore your statement is merely tangential to the person to which you are responding and not particularly relevent to this work of fiction.
