This should be in the 10 Commandments.
Oh, this is a chapter I've already seen.

I guess it's a few more months until it reaches the other group's.

Fina overreacting to nobility is becoming a trope. Don't worry though, the author will play around with this even more in the future...

I wouldn't call it overreacting.
She's a poor commoner who's still a child. She probably got told early on to not get involved with nobility where possible. She probably also heard some of the horror stories, so not surprised that she's a little... apprehensive

It depends, I guess?

I mean, the very first time Fina met Noa, she tried to run away, then tried to hide behind Yuna. She then met Misa (and her grandfather) and then Ellelaura, who was inviting and kind enough to take her on a tour of the palace; she then got to meet the princess (and there is a great passage in the short story collection for this one:

Commoner girls adore princesses. The girl clinging to Yuna was a real-life princess. There was an actual, living, breathing princess right in front of me. A princess so close I could reach out touch her. And if I did anything disrespectful whatsoever to the princess, my entire family could be executed for my behavior.

I love how the manga turns Fina into a cardboard cutout of herself at this point, but honestly, also at this point, nobles have been nothing but friendly and considerate to Fina, plus Noa/Misa have gone out of their way to befriend her.

But equally, albeit behind the scenes, we have already had Yuna herself kick up a fuss over the habits associated with abusive nobles (plus get broad agreement from the adventurer's guildmaster), and of course the whole situation with the orphanage was caused by such a noble - so there ARE situations where you need to be wary of nobility - but Fina should be learning to distinguish between nobles that need caution and those who have proven at least MOSTLY harmless.

Fina would later describe the current experience as:

That was just how Lady Ellelaura was. She was very kind, but a little pushy. And she also acted like I was a dress-up doll once.
So she will get there, just not quite yet.

In future volumes, Shuri is shown as being a little TOO comfortable with those she should keep a respectful distance from/with; luckily, those she is casual with are not offended.
