I see, that info of that the way they purge it differs is really odd. I wonder why the delete handles it differently. And without that info that it for some reason is treated differently it definitely looked like it must be some other weird thing.
Its also supper annoying because I have to remember what chapter I was on, in case I miss one.

Whats really got me confused is MD always walked a gray zone of copywrite. Why have they suddenly got so scared and removal heavy.Was there a ruling or law change that I am unaware of? This purging is going way to far and is just killing so many series. And with them being so quick to do it, its blood in the water for copywrite claims to be made in mass.

I wouldn't stress over the deletions. Most of the people who follow this series will read your uploads before they are deleted and aggregator sites that scrape content from mangadex will preserve the chapters anyway.

I'm glad chapters are still getting uploaded here, even if they ultimately end up deleted. This is still my go to site, and the best site out there for series it does carry, and I've been able to keep up with releases before they get nuked. Other sketchier sites will be around for finding it in the future if I want to as well.

The previous chapters do indeed show up as deleted, but not by a staff, but YOU, so please, stop spouting lies.
If it were us actually removing the chapters, it'd show up as "deactivated" or, in cases of DMCA takedowns, as "unavailable" (that checkbox isn't just for May 15's mass takedown).

Edit: Also, if it were for the reason you mentioned (being preemptively getting taken down), it would've also affected the Thai chapter releases, not just the English ones, since takedowns are enforced on a chapter level, not for entire entries...
We work the same way YouTube does. Unless something breaks our rules, it's left there. If someone sends a valid complaint about the content, access to it is disabled.

Once again, it wasn't us. If you want, I can try to reinstate them (not sure if it'll work since "deleted" chapters are harder to reinstate than "deactivated" chapters), but this is a one time thing, not the norm.

AFAIK they just remove whenever there's a DMCA claim and there's been quite a few these past few years that's probably why.

If you're actually being legit about not knowing what happened to them then maybe someone got access to your account and is playing with you. I'd suggest changing your password if that's the case.

You know what, I'll do that. previous latest 3-5 chapters was deleted by me IIRC. I didn't actually delete the previous ch56 below.
Oh, right, I've been getting calls, unknown calls lately. Adding an attempt login notif to my blockchain with zero balance, I didn't mind changing the password, there's no balance in there LMAO.
