Mabel Cat form is pretty great. I still can't get over how she did the actual cat activation sound.
Actually, a fairly weak weapon that a player can equip to get more lore or more dialogue options sounds interesting. It could cause the player to actually make decisions on whether they want to take a risk of being at a disadvantage in a potential fight, but have a better understanding of the characters and maybe have more story paths open to them. It could be annoying to people who just want to 100% the game, though.
