But I'm on Sophia's side. Lyle  is way too much of a doormat. Doesn't matter if they need an alliance with those alongside Dale - he needed to knock a tooth loose, or something.

He can be compassionate, but his softness and aversion to standing up for himself will only cause problems later on.

"speak softly and carry a big stick", after all. You have to prove you can deliver on the passive promise of power or else you're going to be walked all over, like he has been for awhile.

The girls get in a fight and he's just standing there wondering what he should do, as even a random side character is more assertive than him.

The girls power up on their own.

Idgaf about his horrible past, or anything. It's been 2 years of this manga, 2 years. And there has been ZERO character growth for this absolute loser. He's a joke from start to end. Everyone has a horrible opinion of him, everyone abuses him, everyone just runs rough shod over him. And there's folks who claim "he has grown and improved" when he's basically the same character wise as chapter 1. No girl would be with this guy if she had any choice whatsoever.

the pacing is like all over the place. first we got the usual annoying male motherfucker shitting on a "friend" because he blindly believes dumb rumors and thinks characters are "forcing" themselves when they genuinely try to explain what's going on and defend the mc and then both chicks awaken their powers after a couple blows and a few lines of dialogue.
almost seems like they're trying to make up lost ground for all the chapters wasted on the stupid and especially empty banter of the ancestors early on.

Spoiler: Lyle childhood

He was literally a child. 10 years of his age already erased. He basically baby who grow too fast. His mental already poorly groomed into rejected kid.

But this manga is really too slow.
