Fun fact: everything the princess said also applies if your prophetic ability is reliable. I see that all the time at work. I predict bad things happening, convince my boss to let me fix the problem, bad thing doesn't happen (because it's fixed now), and some people think I'm just wasting time and money.
For years I've been trying to convince my boss to use MFA (multi-factor authentication). He refused because it's inconvenient and whatnot. Last year he bought a new PC and needed my help setting it up. I decided to force him to use MFA and blamed it on Microsoft. A month later, he sent me a mail saying he might've clicked on something he shouldn't have clicked on.
It was a phishing mail, linking to a page pretending to be a Microsoft login page. I called my boss, asked if he entered his credentials in that page, and he confirmed he did. So I blocked his account, checked the logs, and found a successful password sign-in from the USA. Fortunately, the second factor sign-in did not succeed. I reset my boss' password, unblocked him, and informed him of what happened.
Now he keeps sending mails to everyone about how important MFA is. Of course it is. He's the only person aside from me (the "IT guy") who's a global admin. This incident could've literally bankrupted our organization. If this incident had never happened, MFA would've forever been a waste of time and effort.
That's why one of my favorite sayings is: "Security is something noone needs. Until they do."
