There are some regions like Taiwan or Hong Kong that share close geographic, historical, linguistic and cultural ties with China, but retain a degree of independence from Pooh-bear's control. And those are just the two direct examples I can think of with my limited knowledge, the influence of China is pretty broadly felt across a lot of Asia.

And of course, this isn't even getting into Diaspora communities in other countries, who live under the laws of another land but retain Chinese cultural heritage.

Still updating on Bato, up to Chapter 85 now. I don't know what happened but for some reason the translation group has stopped posting any of their manhua translations on Mangadex. At first I thought it was because of all the DMCA takedowns but that doesn't really make sense since no manhuas were removed.
